WARNING!

Building Damage Caused by Rodents:
• Holes are a major source of damage causes by rodent infestation.
• Air Duct or other insulation piping damage
• Torn insulation in walls and ceilings

Q:  Are rodents a fire danger?

A:  Rats are known to start fires by carrying matches to their hiding places, chew through gas pipes causing asphyxiation, and causing short circuits by gnawing on electrical wires.

Q:  Do rodents carry disease?

A:  Disease organisms may be transmitted directly through the rodent’s bite. Rodents may also carry disease via fleas, ticks, or mites which bite men, women, and children. Rodent also contaminated food and water with feces and urine that is pathogenic.

If you do find signs of a rodent infestation, contact F&F as soon as possible.  F&F will inspect your home or business, confirm the type of rodent and recommend a course of rodent control treatment.

It is very import to inspect for rodent droppings, especially in areas such as pantries, under baseboards and along walls. Rodent droppings most often cause allergic reactions in people but can also cause disease, including the potentially deadly Hantavirus. Keep in mind that Rodents serve as vectors, carrying bacteria, such as salmonella, on their bodies and they may contaminate food sources, kitchen surfaces and equipment.
